OMCZ = Out of My Comfort Zone
This painting seriously pushed me there. Someone else picked the color pallet, I was working with a couple of new techniques and honestly, I was scared, but scared isn’t a place I’m willing to live anymore. So one step at a time, one decision, blue hue, then the red so it’s sheerer, layer the gold. It’s still outside my comfort zone but it doesn’t scare me anymore. To me, that is a success.
